Facebook announces they will incorporate “Automated Insights” tool

Posted by Automated Insights on Apr 19, 2017

Last week, the buzz in the world of artificial intelligence and natural language generation centered around augmenting reporters and their roles with technology in the newsroom. We talked in great detail about the benefits of this augmentation (improved efficiency, expanded coverage, etc.) and the long-term outlook for writers in the industry (reminder: outlook = very good). As a result, it looks like that buzz has made its way all the way out to Menlo Park.

We are thrilled to see Facebook announcing that they will incorporate “Automated Insights” into their analytics offering. What does this mean? Facebook will be "using artificial intelligence and machine learning to deliver personalized, automated data analysis to developers." That’s a new, exciting feature for Facebook’s developer platform.

As with any new venture into the unknown it can be daunting and unpredictable. And since we’d like to think we’re the experts where “Automated Insights” is concerned, we thought it would be best to offer up any consulting or advising on the matter.

In fact, we have a ton of experience on the “personalized, automated data analysis” front through our business intelligence partnerships with Tableau, TIBCO Spotfire, and MicroStrategy that you can check out on our Integrations page.
